Uhh, no, Jesus himself explicitly orders us to cast off our biological forms, if doing so causes us to sin less. Matthew 18:8-9: “If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.”
This is a theme carried throughout the New Testament; witness, for instance, what Paul has to say about the flesh in his letter to the Galatians: “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21). The flesh is not by any means “perfected” by God; indeed, it is stated as inherently sinful and Fallen! This idea is nothing new; it is a part of a long line of traditions of Christian asceticism, dating all the way back to the earliest Church Fathers. Christian Transhumanism is simply using technology to take that ascetic desire to a new level.
